Bang on a Can’s LOUD Weekend Festival

Mathew Rosenblum will be a Visiting Guest Composer at BOAC’s LOUD Weekend Festival, August 1-3, 2024. Two works will be performed, “We Lived Happily During the War” and “Circadian Rhythms.”

New Work for JACK Quartet and Conor Hanick

A double-keyboard piano quintet commissioned by JACK Quartet and Conor Hanick will be premiered in the spring of 2025.

Biography

Mathew Rosenblum is a composer, curator and educator. Through the juxtaposition of different tuning systems and stylistic references, Rosenblum’s work does not live within traditional boundaries, creating a compellingly fresh landscape. He is director of the highly successful Beyond: Microtonal Music Festival, co-director of the Music on the Edge new music series, and Professor and former Chair of the Department of Music at the University of Pittsburgh…
